So who would you prefer? The Joker? or George W. Bush in charge of making the economy better? Kind of a tough choice... lol

What happens when you mix 2 movies and the Dark Knight trailer? You get this:

So very much full of coolness.

Thersa Andersson - One Woman Band

If you'll just forgive the first 18 seconds of this video, the rest of the song in this video is pretty dern impressive. She's got some ninja feet pushing loop pedals and knobs. Not just that, but she has a pretty good range of string musical talent along with the notes she can belt out. Enjoy!

This one here shows a better close up for this awesome musician :

Fringe TV Pilot

So, did you miss watching Fringe the other night? Didn't see an interest in it at all? It's being written by the same guy who did Cloverfield and the up-coming Star Trek movie. Expect it to be alittle bit like the X-Files, except maybe with giving the audience a better level of understanding.

Push play for some good-time grossness.

LHC and you!

So on September 10th... Wednesday this week... the nice people of CERN will burn off a few terawatts when they turn on the LHC... to try and establish anti-matter and possibly the formation of a black hole. While it very likely won't be one that'll swallow the entire solar system whole, it'll be just a micro-singularity that'll probably disappear as fast as it was created.

So just be sure when you wake up on Wednesday.. that you know tomorrow is another day that you will have survived mankind's genius in order to obtain more powerful sources of energy and advance in science to another level.

Heath Ledger's Joker artwork and Don LaFontaine

Joker expressions by *TheAphex on deviantART

Awesome stuff right? I thought so myself. But on a sad note, even just after posting video of Don Lafontaine right there, a week later the guy ends up passing away. Age 68.

So for a going away video, here's an awesome impression done by the comic, Pablo Francisco :

House of the Dead : OverKill

I really wish I had a Wii. Not only that, I wish the big screen TV I have in my apartment was working. Anyways, This new game trailer here, House of The Dead : Overkill, so very much reminds me of the Quentin And Rodriguez GrindHouse movies. It's humorous and gore filled. You'll laugh... you'll go "Ewww!" alot and stuff. Which is why it'd be cool if I got to play it.

Oh well... Just have a gander yourself. Lots of fun stuff here:

Season 3 Heroes Promotion

I loved Season 1 of Heroes. Season 2 was a bit off in that it tried to reboot something that was already awesome and attempted to recreate the build up the first season. When it really didn't need to at all. Though there were some most excellent stories told and deeper character stories, it didn't really fit that great. Then we had the Writer's Strike of 2008 and everything got shoved off the table.

But anyways, here's the video. Hopefully they'll make this season go back to the kick-ass nature that Heroes was intended to be.

Stuff by Kris Wilson

Well, one day on DeviantArt I saw this guy's little stick comic on the front page and everything he's done on it has been pretty awesome. You should go check out his gallery here. Right here is an example of the type of humor he does:

Suck by *kris-wilson on deviantART

And then today, he posted some music he's done since a friend of his made up a little flash player. They're all pretty damn good if you ask me. If he put his mind to it, I'm better he could do a game soundtrack if he wanted. Check out the player and it's playlist here. (direct link to the flash player)

On a side note, I had the special experience last night of my contact again migrating itself behind my eyeball. That's right. My eye was dry so I was rubbing it then poof! There it went! So while playing with my eyelid to get it to move itself out, it must have came out. Because I was hoping today it was still behind my eye and sleeping would push it out, but it wasn't on my bed or my face when I woke up. So I get the crappy experience of going over and getting another set of contacts. *sigh*

Comic art sketchbooks!

So there's this really cool comic book artist by the name of Randy Kantz. He's selling some of his very cool artworks in a sketchbook for $15. There were going to be 199 books, but apparently not enough people have gotten the word out. So now there's 99. So if you're lucky enough to have a DeviantArt account, you can get one of these most excellent pieces of artwork.

Check out some of these works of his:

Mmmm... I love this show. Really I do. I got the movie, since buying the entire series in a boxset is a bit out of my budget right now. I'll get it sometime before the Live-Action version comes out.

All's I got's to say, is that I gotta see who they play Faye Valentine right here... She's gotta have the body to pull off a pretty good looking Faye.

With my Freeze ray I will stop the world..

With my freeze ray I will find the time to find the words...

If you don't know what I'm talking about, go check out "Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-long Blog".

It's got some really good songs, Neil Patrick Harris is funny as always.. Felicia Day is adorable and has an angelic singing voice. While Nathan Fillion has the role of the "Hero". He plays the character as a jerk pretty good. Just that his singing isn't all that great. I prefer him with a lazer blaster on his hip and flying around the universe in Serenity.

So go check it out! Here's the trailer :

DailyTech - MIT Students Develop Revolutionary Solar Dish That is Hot Enough to Melt Steel

DailyTech - MIT Students Develop Revolutionary Solar Dish That is Hot Enough to Melt Steel

Here's a quote from the article:
The key piece is the 12-foot dish, which the team assembled in several weeks. The design is exceedingly simple and inexpensive. The frame is composed of aluminum tubing and mirrors are attached to it.

The results are staggering -- the completed mirror focuses enough solar energy at its focal point to melt solid steel. The energy of typical sunlight is concentrated by a factor of 1,000. This was showcased during a demonstration, in which a team member held up a board, which instantly and violently combusted, when brought within range of the focal point.

http://www.spore.com

So with this new upcoming game called Spore you can create these wicked looking aliens. Even though some of the really "creative" people have made Pornographic aliens, It's what the normal people make..

Take for instance here... Zed...

See? He wasn't that horrible. He looks just like a bug creature....But then we get to this... while it's not pornographic, you don't realize what horrors have come to this being until it turns around. See you can play with the bones in the spine to change what kind of posture the creature has.... and this one looks like he sat down on another smaller creature. Someone needs to call a proctologist! He's got a creature stuck in it's ass!

And then we have.. the pornographic ones.. Mind you, that these creatures are easily created with the $10 creature creator. But in September, there's going to be an actual "GAME" where you can start these creatures at the cellular level and then evolve them into interstellar warlords. So I warn you.. you will either laugh your ass off at some then be totally disgusted by others...

Stan Winston: 1946 - 2008

Last night, Sunday June 15th, Stan Winston passed away. Winston died at home Sunday evening after a seven-year struggle with multiple myeloma.

He was a special effects wizard in the movie world. Here's a list of movies he was credited for doing Special effects for:

  1. Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins (2009) (filming) (special effects supervisor)
  2. Iron Man (2008) (special effects)
... aka Ironman (International: English title: alternative spelling) (USA: poster title)
  3. Constantine (2005) (makeup and animatronic effects)
    ... aka Constantine (Germany)
  4. Big Fish (2003) (special effects director)
  5. Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003) (animatronic effects: Terminator)
... aka T3 (USA: promotional abbreviation)
... aka Terminator 3 - Rebellion der Maschinen (Germany)
  6. Darkness Falls (2003) (tooth fairy designer)
  7. The Day the World Ended (2001) (TV) (special effects)
  8. Jurassic Park III (2001) (live action dinosaurs)
... aka JP3 (USA: promotional abbreviation)
  9. Artificial Intelligence: AI (2001) (animatronics designer) (robot character designer)
... aka A.I. Artificial Intelligence (USA: poster title)

  10. Galaxy Quest (1999) (animatronic and creature effects)
  11. End of Days (1999) (creature effects supervisor)
  12. Inspector Gadget (1999) (special animatronic effects)
  13. Lake Placid (1999) (creature effects)
... aka Lac Placid (Canada: French title)
  14. Instinct (1999) (special character effects)
  15. Small Soldiers (1998) (animatronic design and effects)
  16. The Relic (1997) (creature effects)
... aka Relikt - Das Museum der Angst, Das (Germany: TV title)
    ... aka Relikt, Das (Germany)
  17. Congo (1995) (gorilla special effects)
  18. Amazing Stories: Book Two (1992) (V) (special makeup effects) (segment "Go to the Head of the Class")
  19. Predator 2 (1990) (special effects)

  20. Leviathan (1989) (creature effects producer)
  21. The Monster Squad (1987) (monster creator)
  22. Predator (1987) (special effects)
  23. "Amazing Stories" (special effects) (1 episode, 1986)
... aka Steven Spielberg's Amazing Stories (USA: complete title)
    - Go to the Head of the Class (1986) TV episode (special effects)
  24. Aliens (1986) (alien effects creator)
  25. Invaders from Mars (1986) (invaders designer and creator)
  26. "Manimal" (1983) TV series (special effects designer) (unknown episodes)
  27. The Phantom of the Opera (1983) (TV) (special effects makeup)

  28. W.C. Fields and Me (1976) (special effects)
I'd imagine that people should recognize some of these films. As they are legendary and his work will never be forgotten. His son, Matt Winston, has been doing alot of acting work. He was "Crewman Daniels" in the TV series, Star Trek: Enterprise. Daniels was the character that would travel through time from 800 years in the future. He was even in the movie "Fight Club". Matt played the part of the priest that kept getting sprayed before lashing out and punching the guy aggrivating him. I'm sure if you people watched that movie again you'd notice him. Anyways, I'm putting my monster creations in a genuflected pose. Praying that winged demons may guide Stan Winston's soul to the next evolution of state he's ascended to.

ExtraLife Radio

Well it's Sunday and Extralife Radio, a podcast I listen to should be broadcasting today. If you haven't listened to a podcast before or listened to this one, you really should. It's an interesting experience to listen to one. Not to mention, during his live show, there's a UStreamTV video link so you can watch him while he's recording.

So hopefully he'll be up tonight since it's Father's Day and all.

Hulk: Behind the Scenes stuff

Oh.. I almost forgot to post this. It has some discussion with the director of The Incredible Hulk and some Captain America spoilers.

http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1809991325/trailer

If you're REALLY into Star Wars stuff and love the entire universe that was created around that franchise, then this new movie would be as enticing as an addiction would be.

I think that of the Episode 2 and Episode 3 of Star Wars, this new movie should have been made into a live-action Episode, instead of the crap that George Lucas shoved at us in those two Episodes.

Anyways, if I could have embedded the trailer, I would have. If the flash version doesn't suit you in it's quality, there's the 480p, 720p, and even 1024p versions that will take probably a bit longer to watch. But they're definitely worth the time to download them.

Christening ceremony!

So with my first post, I hearby dub this new blog open and ready to be farmed for anything relevant to whoever reads it! Or not.. because not everything here won't be for everyone. I'm not gonna post anything sappy or introspective. Well, I'll try not to.

Eventually I might get around to making this place look better with a new template and colors and stuff.. In the meantime...

Anyways... Since The Incredible Hulk got released this weekend, I figured I'd start off with a Hulk video off YouTube.
